Training Leaders in Vietnam
By Andrew Leong, Bethany Trinity Presbyterian Church, Singapore

Vietnamese Training

We are extremely grateful and thankful to God for the opportunity to equip Vietnamese Christians to run Christianity Explored courses as part of our mission outreach at Bethany Trinity Presbyterian Church. It is our prayer that gospel seeds will be sowed into Vietnamese people and God will grow and reap the harvest.

During the summer we have organised several Christianity Explored training sessions over zoom with leaders in Vietnam.

The first session was for CU (University Christian Union) staff on 9 June 2022. It was attended by more than 30 staff as indicated in the picture above.

The training lasted for about 3 hours and it was a great time introducing Christianity Explored (Khám Phá Tin Lành) to the CU and to provide them with the confidence and assurance of the role that we can play in evangelizing to our friends and families through the CE resources under the guidance and sovereignty of our mighty God.

The CU will be running the Khám Phá Tin Lành course with students in the coming new semester in September when the students return from their summer break.

The second online training was organized on the evening of 26 August 2022 with one of the evangelical churches in Hanoi. There were more than 15 church members who came together to the church to join in the training. Together with the help of the CE Vietnam publisher, Seed, the invitation was open to any Vietnamese Christian to sign up for the training and we are really grateful that there were about 5 people who joined us on zoom. Seed also had the opportunity to share with the group during the break on where they can get the Khám Phá Tin Lành resources.

A special thanks to Thien An who was involved in doing the translation for both training sessions. For more information about Vietnamese resources, please email: singapore@christianityexplored.org.
